Vietnam, officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam,is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by People's Republic of China (PRC) to the north,Laos to the northwest,Cambodia to the southwest, and the South China Sea,referred to as East Sea,to the east. With a population of over 86 million,Vietnam is the 13th most populous country in the world.

The people of Vietnam regained independence and broke away from China in AD 938 after their victory at the battle of Bạch Đằng River. Successive dynasties flourished along with geographic and political expansion deeper into Southeast Asia, until it was colonized by the French in the mid-19th century. Efforts to resist the French eventually led to their expulsion from the country in the mid-20th century, leaving a nation divided politically into two countries. Fighting between the two sides continued during the Vietnam War,ending with a North Vietnamese victory in 1975.

Emerging from this prolonged military engagement, the war-ravaged nation was politically isolated. In 1986,the government instituted economic and political reforms and began a path towards international reintegration. By 2000,it had established diplomatic relations with most nations. Its economic growth has been among the highest in the world in the past decade. These economic reforms also introduced inequality in many spheres of life in Vietnam such as income distribution and women's rights.

About Vietnam
Travelling by plane is the fastest way to cover big distances in Vietnam and domestic carriers are Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific. Trains are a popular and comfortable method of overland transport too, though they are substantially more expensive than buses. Travellers can catch the Reunification Express,an overnight train that runs the entire coast from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and takes approximately 30 hours. Long-distance bus services connect most cities in Vietnam and public buses travel between the cities' bus stations. Travellers should note that international driver's licenses are not accepted in Vietnam, making car rental very difficult, but hiring a car with a driver is quite common
Nha Trang
Until the middle of the 19th century,Nha Trang had still been a deserted area with wildlife animals like tigers, and was a part of Hà Bạc,Vĩnh Xương District,Diên Khánh Province. Nha Trang officially became a center urbain under the Indochina Governor General’s decision issued on the 30th August 1924. After only 2 decades of early 20nd century
Ho Chi Minh City
The central downtown area is in District 1. Here's where you'll find the greatest variety of lodgings, including classic hotels like the Grand, the Majestic and the Rex,as well as most of the newer, upscale hostelries. In recent years a lot of new hotel projects have been going up,creating a temporary glut, particularly in the high end of the market. The result is some pretty good deals on some really nice hotel rooms.
Hue Imperial City
The Imperial City of Hue was the capital of Vietnam during the reign of the Nguyen dynasty, the last dynasty in Vietnam. Even today, the Vietnamese regard Hue with awe and respect. Hue also has the distinction of being one of the rainiest cities in Vietnam, receiving more than 120 inches each year.Hue is dominated by The Citadel,a moated, walled fort, constructed during the early 19th century
Mekong Delta
The Mekong Delta,as a region, lies immediately to the west of Ho Chi Minh City, roughly forming a triangle stretching from Mỹ Tho in the east to Châu Đốc and Hà Tiên in the northwest, down to Cà Mau and the South China Sea at the southernmost tip of Vietnam, and including the island of Phú Quốc.
